HartBeat Experiences bring learning to life through hands-on workshops, movement, culture, creativity, wellness, identity, and real-world skill building. Explore what is currently available and register directly with the experience that fits your family.

Community partnership

Many HartBeat experiences take place at Parker Memorial Community Center.

HartBeat’s partnership with Parker Memorial gives participating families access to a community-centered space for workshops, movement, learning, and connection. Families registering for Parker-based workshops should also complete Parker Memorial registration.

Bright Minds & Healthy “Harts”

Presented with Game Changers Basketball Inc., this enrichment experience blends physical activity, academic learning, social development, wellness education, STEM through sports, mindfulness, reflection, and goal setting.

Designed for a wide age range, the workshop gives HartBeats an active way to build confidence and teamwork while connecting movement with learning.

Cultural Dance Workshop

A beginner-friendly cultural dance series with Ms. Victoria that invites HartBeats to create, express, and develop through movement. Students explore Latin dance, Afro-Caribbean movement, and step while building rhythm, cultural appreciation, and confidence.

Each dance unit runs for five weeks, giving students time to learn the style, practice together, and grow comfortable expressing themselves through movement.

Español with Ms. Samantha

A welcoming Spanish-language experience for HartBeats ages four and up. Each class combines greetings, a feelings check-in, calendar and schedule review, a themed read-aloud, and a hands-on activity with snack.

Parents can support younger learners with reading and writing, making the experience especially approachable for families introducing Spanish in a relaxed homeschool setting.

The “Hart” of Who We Are

This eight-week series supports HartBeats as they explore and celebrate their personal identities through hands-on activities focused on self-discovery, individuality, self-confidence, and an appreciation for diversity.

Students create a personal portfolio that can include self-portraits, identity maps, journal entries, positive affirmations, collages, poems, and a “Love Letter to Myself,” culminating in a Share Day that celebrates what makes each student unique.

Hands-On Skills • Contracting • Automotive

Workmanship Workshop

Hosted by Y&J Luxury Home Remodeling LLC, this hands-on workshop helps HartBeats build practical skills, confidence, and real-world knowledge through contracting and automotive work.

September projects include making a pencil holder, creating a birdhouse, and learning how to change a tire. HartBeats will build real projects, learn valuable skills, boost confidence, and have fun while learning by doing.

Ages 7–14 Every Tuesday in September 12 PM–3 PM Parker Memorial Community Center $12 per child

Younger HartBeats have early release at 1 PM. Families should provide lunch/snacks, and parents are advised to stay for the duration of the workshop.
